Joy recently completed her Specialist degree in Instructional Technology. I’ve known Joy for ten years and each year she seeks to learn more about new technologies and how they can be used in the classroom. She is an incredible speaker and presenter. She has presented at GaETC for many years. Each year her presentations are well received and full of happy participants. Joy is well deserving of the Rising Stars award.

Joy has several schools that she serves. She is always on demand, but is always willing to help a teacher in need of her assistance, even with her busy schedule. You will often find Joy teaching or collaborating with teachers, librarians or administrators. She helps facilitate professional learning for teachers in the district. She also helps new teachers during new teacher orientation learn our LMS. She is not only a leader in her department, but across Cobb County. Through her trainings, she touches the educational experience of students across the district in a profound way.
